This policy explains what cookies PennyRa uses on its website and application, how they work, and how you can control them.

1. What Are Cookies?

  • Cookies are small text files stored on your device through your browser.
  • They are used to remember your session, save your preferences, and help us improve our service.
  • Cookies can be categorized as essential, analytics, and preference cookies.

2. Cookies We Use

  • Essential Cookies (Supabase Session): Allow you to log in and keep your session active. Without these cookies, you cannot use the application. Legal basis: necessary for the provision of the service.
  • Analytics Cookies (PostHog): Only activated if you consent. Help us understand which features are used, how long users spend on pages, and where errors occur. Data is anonymized and contains no personal identifiers.
  • Preference Storage: Your theme (dark/light), currency, and language preferences are stored in the browser's localStorage. These are technically not cookies but browser storage that serves a similar function.

3. Third-Party Cookies

  • PostHog: Collects anonymized session data for usage analytics. Activates only with your consent; you can opt out at any time.
  • We do not use advertising network or social media cookies.
  • The Polar payment page may use payment processor cookies; these are governed by Polar's privacy policy.

4. How to Control Cookies

  • Browser settings: All modern browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Check your browser's help section.
  • Cookie banner: On your first visit, you can decline analytics cookies from the consent banner.
  • In-app settings: You can update your analytics preferences from the Settings page.
  • Disabling essential cookies will prevent the service from functioning.
